Your Art!
Share it with us ♡
Every drawing or a project that you guys do, alone or with family, is a TREASURE. This is a family corner, so we would like to see what the children and you - the grown ups - do with their gifts. We would be VERY glad to post them on this page. Would you be willing to show it to us? Drawings, songs, poems, little lovely doodles, crafts you might have done from our Activities area bellow, cards, etc.
If so, email your artwork and the name of its artist ♡ at: godlovesus771@gmail.com
Activities:
VALENTINE’S DAY ❤
1.
Will you be my Valentine?
Have your child/the children color and decorate a card for Jesus, asking Him to be their Valentine. (make sure they sign their names)
2.
Make a List!
Write your names down on pieces of paper and then fold them into a square, shuffle them all together, having each person pick one. (no one can get themselves!) Write a list of five things that you love about each other and decorate the list. Then choose to do something nice for the other person. If it is possible for you to give a small treat with the card, that would be great as well.
3.
An Act of love for your neighbor: For this day, make a list of things you can do for anyone in need and take it one step at a time to show someone Jesus cares for them.
4.
Write a journal note to St. Valentine: If it be in your diary, journal or a blank sheet of paper. Write to saint Valentine the special graces you need to show love and any other things you need him to bless you with.
LENT
1.
Get to know God’s Word:
I know this one is for every short story but this time is a very important time of the year where we remember Jesus. If now more than ever you can spend time reading the bible and getting to know Jesus, there are many apps that help you keep on track and there are also bible apps for kids, so no one gets left behind. I recommend the NLT version for new beginners.
2.
Give something:
During this time of reflecting, you can choose to give up something that you are very attached too as a mini-fast and choose to pray for someone instead.
3.
Build a fun little PRAY-FAST-GIVE plan! Like in the image show bellow, draw on a cardstock paper the words “LENT” in the way you desire and color and decorate it as you like. For the three pockets of Pray, Fast and Give you can use a stapler to hold the paper firmly in its place (...)

4.
Create a little Resurrection Garden!
I LOVE this idea! This fun craft is just as one would build a Nativity scene about Jesus’s birth. But in this case, it IS an Easter scene about His sacrifice and victory. The crafting process is so sweet in itself! I’ll leave you a link for a better guidance and help to build it up. ENJOY!

THE FIRST CHRISTMAS 🎄
1.
Swaddle baby Jesus.
Take your favorite stuff animal or plush toy and a blanket. Proceed to then wrap the plush in the blanket, placing the baby Jesus in a box or a rock, to remember where Jesus was placed when being born.
2.
Create the Nativity.
On a piece of paper using whatever materials you have, draw the nativity and decorate it however you want. Then place it on your fridge or in a safe place to remember the day Jesus was born.
3.
Play “Put the Mary on the donkey”: This one sounds weird but it's fun. You can either draw a donkey and a picture of Mary or print one, then play this game as you would play the traditional game “pin the tail on the donkey!”
4.
Bake a Dessert. It can be jello, a muffin from the store or anything you choose. Take the item and then proceed to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
